  • Five hundred grams of lobster meat.
  • Three-quarters of a cup of chopped onions.

Consumption of uncooked fish and shellfish, including lobster, may sometimes cause poisoning because they may contain Salmonella and Vibrio vulnificus bacteria, which leads to vomiting, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. In particular, this poisoning may be dangerous for pregnant women, children, and the elderly age.

As for cooked oysters, they are considered safe for most people and also safe for pregnant women in most cases. It is worth noting that the US FDA indicates that cooked lobster is considered one of the best seafood for pregnant women, except that eating lobster Uncooked may cause poisoning, as mentioned previously.
