There are many people who love to eat pizza for its delicious and light taste, as it can be eaten with breakfast, lunch or dinner. Pizza is originally an Italian dish, consisting of tomatoes, cheese, sauce and dough. There are several ways to prepare pizza dough; it can be thick and puffy or light and crunchy.

Pizza Dough

Basic Pizza Dough


1½ cups of warm water. 

1 tablespoon of yeast.

  1. Put the yeast in warm water with a teaspoon of sugar and leave it for 5 minutes until air bubbles appear on its surface. 
  2. Put the flour in a wide bowl, make a hole in the middle, and put the yeast mixture in the middle. 
  3. Put the olive oil in the middle as well, stir the mixture, and start the kneading process. 
  4. You must continue to knead the dough until it gets consistent of the dough. 
  5. Grease the bowl with oil, and put the dough in it. 
  6. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and leave it in a warm place to ferment; until it doubles in size, which may take 50 to 60 minutes. 
  7. Put a little flour on the table, then roll out the dough.

  1. Prepare a special saucepan, put butter and oil inside, and put it on a medium heat. 
  2. Add the chopped onion to the oil and stir for 3 minutes. 
  3. Add the mashed garlic to the previous mixture and stir them together. 
  4. Put the following ingredients into the previous mixture: finely chopped green pepper, and peeled and finely chopped tomatoes. 
  5. Add tomato puree, sugar, salt, oregano, basil, black pepper, and hot sauce to the mixture.

  1. In the mixing bowl, put two cups of flour, yeast, salt, oregano, and sugar. 
  2. Add oil and warm water and run the mixer on medium speed until the dough forms and separates from the edges of the bowl.
  3. Then, gradually add the rest of the flour until the dough becomes cohesive, then knead again for another 5 minutes. 
  4. Put the dough in a dish greased with a little oil, then grease the surface of the dough with a little oil as well. 
  5. Cover the dish with a piece of nylon and leave it in a warm place for 30 minutes or until it doubles in size. 
  6. Prepare an 11-inch round oven dish or pizza tray and with a wide brush, brush the dish with a little corn oil.

½ a teaspoon of paprika.
